Maca (Lepidium meyenii) is a radish- or turnip-shaped root plant that grows exclusively in the South American Andes of Peru and Bolivia. It is one of the few plants that can survive in these inhospitable high mountain conditions.

The yellow maca differs from the others in colour, taste, smell and some characteristics. It boasts a very specific creamy and sweet taste and is suitable for menopausal women.

Use
