The Peruvian watercress grows in the foothills of the Peruvian Andes at altitudes of up to 4000 m above sea level. It was used by the ancient Incas for its beneficial effects on physical and mental health. The root is further processed from the plant, either in fresh or dried form.
Black maca differs from other maca in colour, taste, smell and certain properties. It has a very specific, slightly sweet taste. Like yellow and red maca, it promotes fertility and sexual health, and is also very popular for its effects on stamina.
